WHAT IS "BOOKTUBE", "BOOKSTAGRAM", OR THE "BOOKTERNET"?
“Booktube” refers to the book niche content centered community on Youtube. “Bookstagram” is a term to refer to book bloggers on Instagram, and the “Bookternet” is a term to refer to the portion of the internet full of bibliophiles talking all things bookish.

Content ranging from reading reviews, book hauls, book launch campaigns, author events or interviews, readathon events and more abound. 

WHY DID YOU JOIN THIS COMMUNITY?
Books are such a wonderful vehicle for people who feel like outsiders to find those who think like them, feel like them, or see them. It can give you ideas you’ve never had, take you to places you’ve never seen, and expose you to things you didn’t even know existed – all from your own home!

I have found so much comfort in books when I was heartbroken or didn’t know what to do next.
There always seemed to be a thousand answers waiting at the library, and a place to hide among the shelves.

I was always shocked it wasn’t more crowded … it felt like the best place in the world and it was FREE!

That we have a place to engage in my favorite passion -as much as we want, accessible to everyone - is one proof to me that humans aren’t all bad.


If we made this, who knows what other beautiful things we will create.⠀
